SO, tonight I found out Woody Harrelson’s father killed my co-workers relative.
Got your attention? Thought so.
Woody Harrelson came up because he did a disastrous AMA on Reddit trying to promote his new movie. We discussed how awesome Harrelson is, and I brought up (since my mind is filled with useless trivia) that in the novel of No Country For Old Men, McCarthy mentioned the murder of Judge John H. Wood, whom was actually assassinated by Harrelson’s father, Charles Harrelson, who was a contract killer. I said, “What are the odds he’d end up in the film version of the novel?” (even though the movie omits any mention of this.) My co-worker then replied, “Yeah, in fact… one of my relatives was assassinated here in Texas long before I was born…”
and that set off the hunt. After a couple of Google searches and reading Wikipedia articles, we found out that that Judge who was assassinated (here in San Antonio, as a matter of fact) was none other than my co-worker’s relative.
And that’s how we deduced the father of Mr. Zombieland and Kingpin murdered my co-workers relative. What a fun night of feeling like a detective.
Yes, it’s a flawed game (so was the first) but as far as presentation goes, few games can touch Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days…I still play it to this day. How fucking rad is this commercial?
