I’ve found the still point. The unwobbling pivot of the world. Do you know what I mean?
This movie is perfect. And this entire scene is unnerving.
nightmares for years. this scene fucked me up big time
First David Lynch anything I ever watched. This scene made me have to pause and recuperate. Man.
This fucked me up so horribly the first time I saw it. It was also my first experience watching a David Lynch film/anything.
I had to turn off the movie which I was watching alone in my room, and go to the living room with my family for about fifteen minutes before I could continue.
And I’ve been a fan ever since.
“A little boy went out to play. When he opened his door, he saw the world. As he passed through the doorway, he caused a reflection. Evil was born. Evil was born, and followed the boy.”
David Lynch submitted this poster for use in newspaper ads following negative reviews from Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert. When asked for his opinion, Gene Siskel said, “I found it petty.”
